Marefa Database aims to achieve the following goals:
- To provide the scientific and intellectual production in Arab countries and to facilitate the easy access for researches and Arab students in order to benefit from it.
- To open and develop communication channels and scientific cooperation between researchers and educational, scientific and economic institutions in the Arab world on one hand and various countries of the world on the other hand. This would contribute to strengthening the dialogue between cultures and civilizations and enhance the prospects for coexistence between them.
- To publicize and provide the intellectual and scientific inventory published in the Arab world to interested parties all over the world.
- To enhance the community and economy of knowledge in the Arab World.
- To enhance the possibilities of Arabic language in computerized contexts.
- To establish Marefa database as a survey tool for scientific research in the Arab World.
